Subject: A Good Preview of a Meaningful Film!
"Thirty Seconds Over Tokyo" is one of the best movies ever made covering events in World War II. This preview, or "coming attractions," was excellent.

Subject: Excellent film - Ignore the misinformation
I won't describe the drama in this particularly fine film, except to say, see it.

However, I will say this: Disregard armchair 'experts' who pretend to know what they're talking about. You can find them in most film discussion boards, such as here, or IMDB, etc.. Pay particular care to avoid most of the nonsense these laughingly misinformed and unknowledgeable 'experts' spew on war pictures and historical events.

"Didn't accomplish much" is one such phrase used to describe the Doolittle raid here for this film, Thirty Seconds Over Tokyo. Now, perhaps that particular reviewer was looking at the name of James Doolittle and like Pavlov's dogs, heard a bell go off and, thought, "Do little' as in, it did little. Because, folks. It did plenty. Plenty.

What I'm saying is, enjoy the films and ignore the fools who weren't there nor have the courage to be anywhere where action is required beyond a few throw-away phrases typed on their keyboard such as 'didn't do much'.

Not bad trailer here for this Spencer Tracy yarner. Oh yeah, Van Johnson is also here, but who gives a root toot about him? GO GET HIM TRACY! lol. Probably not the best film MGM ever made, even though they're adament about this in the trailer ;)

Excellent action scenes make this one worthwhile. The movie tells the story of the April 1942 Doolittle Raid on Japan. The raid was mostly a morale booster; it didn't really accomplish much but it did lead to the famous battle of Midway.

This is one of the better WWII movies, as I recall (I should admit that it's been decades since I've seen it). The trailer gives one an accurate idea of the film and I score it well.
